Ocean Drive Promenade Series: LeNard Rutledge Quartet

Join us on Ocean Drive on June 7th for a performance featuring LeNard Rutledge Quartet as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.LeNard Rutledge, born and raised in Miami, is often compared to the legendary Lou Rawls. LeNard grew up in the historic St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Overtown and began his musical career as a drummer, playing in the marching band at Miami Central Senior High. While attending Saint Augustine College in North Carolina he started singing in local clubs and began his vocal career in 1997 performing with the Melton Mustafa Orchestra. He was named The Miami New Times Best Jazz Artist in 2006 and is currently recording new songs across several musical genres. @rutvoice.These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place.
