Join us on Ocean Drive on November 9th for a performance featuring Johnny Walker Band as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. NEW START TIME is at 5:00 PM.Johnny is a Miami native grew up in church, studied theater at Miami Dade College (AA), and The University of the Arts (BFA), Philadelphia PA. In Philly, he rediscovered his roots in music and returned to the Miami music scene with his cousin Roosevelt Collier. Eventually, he started WalkerTown with his brother Big E of the Leeboys. Throughout the year, he works as a featured artist on Virgin Voyages with The Leeboys and plays in Miami with various bands, including WalkerTown and MaddJazz. He lives his life by the WalkerTown moto “anywhere you find a beat.” Music is love and he works to share his music with you.
These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public-- and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. Rainy-day location is inside The Betsy Hotel!
