The Graduation Ceremony recognizes candidates who have met the challenge and successfully completed OCS. During the parade, the top performing candidates and OCS staff receive awards, the Commanding Officer will address the guests, and the candidates will conduct a pass-in-review. The commissioning ceremony will take place immediately after the Graduation Ceremony on the Parade Deck. This ceremony is an independent ceremony where your new Lieutenant will have an individual(s) of their choosing pin gold bars on their uniform. They will also receive their first salute from an enlisted service member of their choosing. Seating is first come, first serve. The ceremony is held outdoors.The uniform for this event is business casual for civilians and Woodland MARPAT for Marines (or service equivalent). For more information regarding base access, directions, parking, and VIP and accessible seating, ask your candidate to forward you the Family Information Packet during their upcoming weekend liberty period.
