About this Event
The OCAF Live Music Series proudly presents Marty Winkler & Friends alongside the trio Overia for an evening filled with soulful sounds, powerful vocals, and musical artistry — all in the beautiful setting of OCAF’s Main Gallery.
Athens’ own Marty Winkler, originally from Nebraska with stops in New York and Minnesota, brings her dazzling four-octave voice and masterful stage presence to the OCAF stage. From jazz to classic pop to Americana, Marty captivates audiences with her bold vocal range, smart songwriting, and heartfelt cover renditions. A veteran of Lilith Fair and numerous national festivals, Marty has released several acclaimed albums, including her most recent, Songs I Never Sang for My Father.
For this special performance, Marty will be joined by an extraordinary group of friends: Neil Golden on piano, Debbie Hardegree and Maggie Mason Hunter on backup vocals, Mike Merva on bass, and special guest Tony Oscar on percussion. Together, they’ll create a night of rich harmonies, dynamic rhythms, and unforgettable moments.
Opening the evening is Overia, a bold trio featuring Tony Oscar on percussion, LeaLea on vocal and guitar, and special guest William Freeman Leverett on guitar and vocals. Their set will start with Lea's original songs and finish with Freeman's original songs. Each member of Overia is an accomplished and celebrated artist in their own right, and together, they weave a truly magical soundscape that blends talent, experience, and creativity.
