OCAF Presents: Maria Chávez (NYC), Annie Leeth & Organically Programmed

Born in Lima, Peru and based in New York City, Maria Chávez is best known as an abstract turntablist, sound artist, and DJ whose performances turn fragments of broken records into intricate, one-of-a-kind sonic landscapes. Her groundbreaking work merges improvisation with conceptual art, creating an atmosphere that is never the same twice. Chávez is also the author of Of Technique: Chance Procedures on Turntable (2012), a text that has become both an academic and artistic touchstone for a new generation of experimental turntablists.

Supporting performances by Athens-based artists Annie Leeth and Organically Programmed will open the night, showcasing the vibrant local sound scene.
