It’s time to book again for the 4th annual OBX BEACH TRIP 2026! Where we focus on meeting new friends and for past members attending the reunion of old friends too!Hello Everyone, I’m Steve Da’Mes a 57 y.o. retired and divorced empty nester wanting to live life to the fullest and enjoy my favorite beach making new friends.
This will be the fourth year that I am putting together an eclectic group of singles, divorcees, widows, couples and empty nesters; aged 40+/- and over to go to the Outerbanks, NC for a week to make new friends and perhaps future travel and adventures. I’ve already selected another awesome oceanfront beach house. The week will be September 27 - October 4, in a house rented through a reputable management company in the Outerbanks. This is a great opportunity to build strong bonds with new friends as we will all have opportunities to eat, sight see, and party together!!!
The OCEANFRONT HOME is incredible with 23 bedrooms (22 private suites and one bunk room), elevator, private pooI, 2 hot tubs, theatre room for movie nights, rec room (pool table, foosball & shuffleboard table), poker room, wine room and so much more like gas grills and outside showers to get that sand off of you. With the timing of the rental this year I included pool heat with our rental.
****I am not going to do refunds this year if anyone backs out. It will be up to you to find a replacement which you must clear with me to get reimbursed if you back out or can't make it.
Room pricing in this house will be as follows:
2 pool house rooms (22&23) $950
Balcony & deck rooms (1,4,10,17,18) $1000
All other rooms. $900.
This is a lot of work so I'm getting my room(1) and paying for a rental truck to bring stuff down and use on the 4x4 beach. Beyond that, I feel it is important to have group meal nights and parties to build a bonding atmosphere and comradery. I’m not trying to make any money and with excess cash will be buying food for meal nights, some drinks and parties.

Definitely a plus if we can get commitments from people with 4x4’s to drive on the beach. Relax on the beach, surf fishing, surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, going out to eat, driving on the beach for that perfect spot, wild horse sightseeing, group cookouts, group dinners, lighthouse trips etc. All I ask is that you chip in for food and drink or bring your own. There are several refrigerators in the house. There are also several grocery stores nearby(Walmart, Food Lion and Harris Teeter)

We will again have meetings and discussions via ZOOM as we get closer to the date of the trip (August/September) so that people can get to know each other and we can discuss the trip and details and plan and choose the dinner nights and parties.

I guarantee that this trip will be a life enriching experience meeting new people that you won’t forget or regret.
Any excess money collected beyond rental costs and my expenses will be used for Group Dinners, drinks and consumables. We will have karaoke nights, parties, themed drink days/nights for whoever wants to sponsor(ie. Tequila night, Bloody Mary, mimosa) day trips and activities that members will head up (ie. light house trips, sunrise meditation, clam dig, wild horse sighting excursion etc). Some ideas for group dinners are Taco night, Chili night, Crab or shrimp boil night, burger night, spaghetti night, steak night. We’ll come to a consensus together taking into account the budget I have leftover.
The money paid for this trip is NON-REFUNDABLE unless you find a suitable replacement which is booked and paid in full, at which time you would be given a 100% refund. Any excess funds beyond the cost of booking will be used for entertainment and consumption purposes for the entire group at the discretion of the organizer (ie. paper towels, food, beer, wine, coffee&filters, creamer etc.).
