OBX Trip 2025 (9/7-9/14)
It’s time to book again for the 3rd annual OBX BEACH TRIP 2025! This year will refocus upon making close and lasting friendships by getting one house per week so that it’s easier to bond with others.
Hello Everyone, I’m Steve Da’Mes a 56 y.o. retired and divorced empty nester wanting to live life to the fullest.
I am putting together an eclectic group of singles, divorcees, widows, couples and empty nesters; 40 and over to go to the Outerbanks, NC for a week to make new friends and perhaps future travel and adventures. I’ve already selected and mostly filled another awesome oceanfront beach house for the week of September 14 - 21, 2025. Don’t worry you’re not gonna miss out. Due to high demand I’m going to host another week from September 7-14. I am now taking $100 deposits for another oceanfront mansion with between 18-24 bedrooms.
Just to give you an idea on pricing; following are the prices for the first house I booked.
2 pool house rooms $900
Balcony rooms $950
All other rooms $850.
*** The room prices for this added week will be about the same +/- a hundred dollars depending upon the house I select and cost. All deposits are fully refundable up until the point I actually book and rent the house. At that point payment in full for the rooms will be required. I am looking to get at least 10 deposits before I take on the risk of paying and booking this second house and trying to fill the remaining rooms. A few people who are already going in the first house have placed deposits for this house also and going down for 2 weeks of partying!🎉
I always rent these homes through reputable management companies in the Outerbanks and always pay for trip insurance. This is a great opportunity to build strong bonds with new friends as we will all have opportunities to eat, sight see, and party together!!!
These OCEANFRONT mansions are incredible with King and Queen bedroom suites with private bath, elevator, private pooI, hot tubs, theatre room for movie nights, rec rooms with games (examples are pool tables, ping pong, foosball & shuffleboard tables and arcade games) and so much more like gas grills and outside showers to get that sand off of you.
****I am not going to do refunds this year if anyone backs out. It will be up to you to find a replacement which you must clear with me to get reimbursed if you back out or can't make it.
This is a lot of work so I'm getting my room and expenses paid. I don’t do this to make $. It’s to make new friends. With money left over I will buy food and drinks down there for any meal and party nights that we may have.

For your reference following is a link to the first filled house that I already booked for 9/14-9/21. The house I get will be very comparable and similar in terms of amenities. Again no pets!!! They only allow 2 dogs per house and it's not fair to allow 2 and then say no to other people.

Definitely a plus if we can get commitments from people with 4x4’s to drive on the beach. Relax on the beach, surf fishing, surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, going out to eat, driving on the beach for that perfect spot, wild horse sightseeing, group cookouts, group dinners, lighthouse trips, hitting bars etc. All I ask is that you chip in for food and drink or bring your own. There are several refrigerators in the house. There are also several grocery stores nearby(Walmart, Food Lion and Harris Teeter)

We will again have meetings and discussions via ZOOM as we get closer to the date of the trip (July/August) so that people can get to know each other prior and we can discuss the trip and details.

I guarantee that this trip will be a life enriching experience meeting new people!
We will have karaoke nights, parties, themed drink days/nights for whoever wants to sponsor(ie. Tequila night, Bloody Mary, mimosa etc.) day trips and activities that members will head up (ie. light house trips, sunrise meditation, clam dig, wild horse sighting excursion etc). Some ideas for group dinners are Greek night, Taco night, Chili night, Crab or shrimp boil night, burger night, spaghetti night. We’ll come to a consensus together taking into account the budget I have leftover.
The money paid for this trip is NON-REFUNDABLE unless you find a suitable replacement which is booked and paid in full, at which time you would be given a 100% refund. Any excess funds beyond the cost of booking will be used for entertainment and consumption purposes for the entire group at the discretion of the organizer (ie. paper towels, food, beer, wine, coffee&filters, creamer etc.).
