Amber Mielke will be the instructor. Amber is a graduate of UMN Crookston with an Animal Science degree, emphasis in Equine Science as well as a competitor on the Equestrian Riding Team. She has over a 20 years experience training horses and teaching lessons.Amber has numerous speed and obstacle titles and trail rides across the country with her children and horses. Her family also competes in EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Racing), her son Whyatt placed in the top 10 at the EXCA World Show in 2024 on both his horses.
Amber enjoys the challenge of technical trails and obstacles because of the experience they offer horses and riders.
This clinic will provide riders with the tools to safely expose their horses to obstacles on the ground and in the saddle. The day will end with a fun mini competition complete with prizes! Amber is a certified MEOA judge and will use the MEOA scoresheet and can answer any questions of prospective competitors.
