Join us for another year of fun entertainment, great food, and dancing! The Oregon Buddhist Temple is proud to announce the return of its annual Obon Festival, a cherished Japanese and Japanese-American tradition. This festival is family-friendly and free to the public. We invite the Portland community to gather in remembrance and celebration.
Live performances like Portland Taiko and Martial Arts will be held throughout the day. Traditional Japanese festival foods and gifts will be for sale starting at 2 PM. Bon Odori, a group folk dance that is open to all who wish to join, will run from 7 PM - 9 PM.
Free parking available on surrounding streets though we highly encourage carpooling and public transportation! Vegetarian food options available. See you there!
