For the first time, Ober Gatlinburg is opening its mountain to trail-capable off-road vehicles during Ober the Top Off Road, a two-day off-road experience August 21-22 held in conjunction with the two biggest off-road vehicle events of the year. Participants will be among the first to drive Tennessee's highest off-road trail, climbing to 3,208 feet in elevation.
For two days only, participants can drive the Challenge Trail, climbing to the top of the ski area’s Challenge Lift at an elevation of 3,208 feet. The route winds through the resort gaining 526 feet in elevation while offering a rugged ride suitable for a variety of skill levels. For an added challenge, drivers can opt to test their skills on various obstacles along the trail.
