OASIS AT KNEBWORTH - 30 YEARS ON
About this Event
To mark thirty years since the fabled Oasis concerts at Knebworth, three figures who attended the explosive shows convene to discuss the madness, the largesse and the legacy of the biggest ever concerts on British soil.
The band's doyen photographer Jill Furmanovsky captured historic images of the event as Johnny Hopkins managed the world's media and a 7000-strong guest list, while journalist Dominic Mohan reported from the crowd.
Now the trio bring their different perspectives on that balmy August weekend, with the band rumoured to be planning a return to Knebworth next summer.
Join them at The City Of London Corporation's Barbican Music Library with the backdrop of the 1996 exhibition curated by Dominic Mohan and featuring Jill's photography and items from Johnny's archive.
The event is sponsored by Wonderwall Lager.
