Oamaru Stone Carving – 3‑Hour WorkshopDiscover how satisfying it is to shape Oamaru stone into a sculpture you can proudly display indoors or out in the garden. This introductory workshop is perfect for both first‑timers and those with a little experience to share: you’ll learn the basics of carving, and refining form in a supportive, go-at-your-own-pace environment.
We’ll supply the stone. You’re welcome to bring any tools you already have, otherwise we'll have some to borrow on the day.
Participants are asked to bring a simple object to become your marquette (or 3D model to guide your carving.)
By the end of the session, you’ll head home with a finished hand-sized piece that’s uniquely yours—tactile, sculptural, and ready to take pride of place in your home or garden.
