This season, the Oak Park Farmers’ Market is launching an exciting new initiative to ensure none of our farmers' beautiful, hard work goes to waste. We are officially partnering with local food pantries for a weekly Food Rescue program—and we need you to help us power it!
The Role: At the end of the market, our Food Rescue volunteers work directly with vendors to collect, weigh, and pack up unsold fresh produce to be donated to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
The Vibe: This is a physical, rewarding, and fast-paced role! If you love staying active, lifting crates, and making a direct, tangible impact on food waste and local hunger, this is the perfect spot for you.
