"Is MiniGP Just for kids.....?"
We have a 2 day MiniGP Race event locked in September 19/20th, not just any race event. This is an opportunity for NZSBK past and present legends to work with the up and coming talent.
Kartsport Manawatu NZ will be the location - Transportation for Auckland based MiniGP Bikes will be provided! We will organise pick up at Auckland Motorcycle Club Race Round 1, will will stor the machines and deliver them to the track for the event and re delivery at Round 2. So you rock stars can fly down to race :-)
You dont have to be a NZSBK legend, you can be an adult rider who wants to work with juniors!
We will run a training trackday on Saturday the 19th of September - MiniGP Academy NZ will work with and enable NZSBK riders to work with 160cc and 110cc juniors. We will team up a NZSBK Adult with a 160cc/150cc junior and a 110cc junior.
Each team will ride and work together on Saturday - then RACE as a team on Sunday. We will organise camping at the track for those making the drive.
Sunday race day will have typical MiniGP Class races. 110cc junior, 160cc/150cc junior, 160/150cc Senior and 190cc Senior Qualifying and Races.
Then in the afternoon it will be the Kings/Queens and Kids teams event!
The Kings and kids event will be relay event - meaning all seniors will race against each other. The final placings of the seniors will determine the starting order and "headstart" that the following 160cc/150cc juniors will receive. This will then roll on to the 110cc juniors - meaning we will all cheer on the youngest of our sport for the teams VICTORY!
Note - Senior riders will not be on track competing at the same time as any junior riders.
Teams will be allocated by MiniGP Academy NZ - aiming to have the most even overall team strengths as possible.
