𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 ‘𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’ 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲, 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 Ō𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟓 @ 𝟔:𝟎𝟎 𝐩.𝐦.The venue is Te Wā 74 Hawdon Street. Our host is the fabulous Josiah Morgan (Kāi Tahu, Ngāti Maniapoto), an interdisciplinary artist based in Ōtautahi. His latest book, ‘I'm Still Growing,’ is out with Dead Bird Books and available in all good bookstores.
Josiah’s other books were all released in the United States, including his hybrid text ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, which was performed as a six-hour-long performance artwork in Auckland Pride 2024. He believes in magic and the power of words to transform.
All welcome (NZPS members & non-members!). Entry is FREE. Josiah will read some of the winning poems from our 2025 International Competition. Contributors will also read and there will be an open mic.
A celebration of poetry in an inclusive shared space!!
There will be some copies of the anthology to purchase but get there early to secure a copy.
