We’re thrilled to announce that the legendary Robert and Jean White will be joining us at this year’s ‘End of Year’ NYC Party! 🕺💃 For anyone who knows the UK Salsa scene, these names need no introduction. As the founders of MamboCity back in 1999, they've been at the heart of London's most iconic Salsa events, including the 5 Star Salsa Congress and Mambo con Son.
Robert and Jean’s Salsa journey began in 1992, learning from the first wave of UK instructors like Xihomara Granados, Nelson Batiste, Ramiro Zapata, and Zina. Their passion for cross-body Salsa was sparked by Pedro Gomez, and since then, they've trained with some of the biggest names in the Salsa world, including Eddie Torres, Nelson Flores (Descarga Latina), Tomas Guerrero (SantoRico), and Frankie Martínez.
With influences from Colombian and Cuban Salsa to cross-body styles “On 1” and “On 2”, plus a love for Cha Cha Cha, their dance experience brings something for every Salsa lover.
Get ready to welcome Robert and Jean to Yorkshire and show them how we do Salsa, Mambo, and Son! It’s going to be a night to remember. 🙌✨

Mambo Con Son: Connecting Music & Dance Clave and Tumbao
This class explores the rhythms that form the foundation of salsa, focusing on Clave and Tumbao. Rather than just counting 1, 2, 3 - 5, 6, 7, you’ll learn to move with the natural swing and flow rooted in Afro-Latin rhythms. By truly connecting with the music, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of movement, timing, and expression beyond the basic counts.
