About this Event
We are happy to announce the next NY Hand Therapy Journal Club, hosted by the NY Hand & Wrist Center. All Certified Hand Therapist (CHTs), Occupational Therapists (OT) and Physical Therapists (PTs) interested in hand therapy are welcomed to attend.
The Journal Club platform will facilitate discussion of current research and the implications on evidence-based clinical practice. It will be a forum for participants to communicate and connect with peers working in the field of Hand Therapy.
Topic: KT Taping for Overuse Injuries
Guest Presenter: Aviva Wolff, EdD, OT, CHT, is an occupational hand therapist, clinician and researcher with a particular focus in musician’s injury and rehabilitation. She currently consults for The Juilliard School, and runs the upper extremity clinical movement analysis programs and hand and wrist biomechanics research at the Leon Root, MD Motion Analysis Laboratory at Hospital for Special Surgery. She is the current acting president of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).
Facilitators:
Dina Delopoulos, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS, is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the upper extremity rehabilitation. She is supervisor of rehabilitation at the NY Hand & Wrist Center of Lenox Hill.
Ashley Satenstein, OTR, CHT, CEAS, is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. She is the owner and director at Lang Hand Therapy, a premiere upper extremity rehabilitation practice on the UWS of Manhattan.
