You will also learn what the gifts they give to animals, birds, insects, and humans - and how we can take care of them as well.
This outdoor event is for young children as well as older youth and their families.
Youth must be accompanied by at least one adult.
A free Oak Sapling will be given to each family that joins us!
This event is free, however, free will donations will be gratefully accepted upon registration, or at the Park.
You will gather at 10am at the first Shelter on the left when you enter Henning Park.
The event will last until about 11:30.
Mary Meals, Certified Nature School Teacher, will lead you and your family through an easy going hike to identify and learn about these generous giants around us.
Please Remember:
• Dress for the weather! Light rain? Heat? Sun?
• Wear sturdy shoes and socks. Although we will be following paths, you may wish to wear long pants and long sleeves if it is not too hot.
• Use protection as needed such as sunscreen, hats, natural insect repellent.
• Bring a reusable water bottle for each participant.
