I have over 18 years experience cooking for all types of people in varies culinary settings. I am a two time graduate from NSCC Kingstec with a diplomas in Business Administration and Culinary Arts. I am also certified in Children's yoga and mindfulness. I have been cooking for children for 8 years. Learning how to make meals appealing to children whilst still meeting the NS nutritional guidelines.
I have a strong background in food adaptations for such things a celiac disease, lactose intolerance, and food allergies/ anaphylaxes and see these as a welcomed challenge.
When I am not at the childcare center I am busy running my small business, exploring the woods with the dogs, practicing yoga, or paddling the lakes.
I believe the combination of mindfulness and nutrition can play a big part in how children see the world and how they fit into it.
