Nutcracker STEAM Challenge with ISU Extension and Outreach

Youth ages 7-12 are invited to watch and listen to a shadow puppet version of the Nutcracker story, and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies. After the story, ISU Extension and Outreach staff will lead the Nutcracker STEM challenge! The nutcracker used for the ballet has broken, and the dancers need a replacement! Our STEM challenge will be to imagine you are a prop designer for the ballet and design a model nutcracker using basic Lego® bricks.
Registration is first come first serve and limited to 25 participants. Walk-in attendees will be allowed the day of the event as space allows. Please register to reserve your spot.
