Tina Turner would have turned 87 this year and to celebrate her birthday (a week early) come to South Branch and learn how to Nutbush! In the 1970s all Australian school children were taught how to line dance to Tina Turner's 'Nutbush City Limits' and it is still celebrated at weddings, school dances and other events today! While Branch Manager Mark (bearded, Australian) was born in the 80s, he is going to give a short demonstration and class. South Branch will also show the 1993 movie 'What's Love Got to Do With it" starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne. Please be advised this movie is rated R*. After the movie and dance, stick around for South Branch Bingo!
