Nurse Unseen Documentary Screening

Catch the Las Vegas premiere of the Nurse Unseen Documentary!

To celebrate the close of Filipino-American Heritage Month, the UNLV School of Nursing is hosting the Las Vegas premiere of the multi-award-winning documentary Nurse Unseen:

When: Thursday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas, 1001 Shadow Lane, Building B

The screening will be held in inside Room B1 on the second floor.

The film highlights the little-known history and humanity of Filipino nurses who risked their lives on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local health professionals and the filmmaker, Michele Josue.

This event is made possible through the support of community partners, including Nevada Health Professionals Network (Harry Singh, President and CEO), My BestHealth First LLC, the Philippine Nurses Association of Nevada, CarePro Home Health and Hospice, Asian-American Pacific Islander Nurses Association of NV, the University of Philippines Alumni Association of NV, and UNLV Division of Diversity Initiatives.

Michele Josue is an Emmy Award-winning Filipino filmmaker whose feature debut "MATT SHEPARD IS A FRIEND OF MINE" won 10 Best Documentary and Audience Awards from film festivals worldwide and boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Michele is also the Executive Producer, Director, and Lead Editor of "HAPPY J*il," the award-winning Netflix Original documentary series about the Cebu J*il that is home to the world-famous “Dancing Inmates.”
