Join us for one of Washington's most iconic and challenging day hikes.
Route
• Start: Stuart Lake / Colchuck Lake Trailhead
• Finish: Snow Lakes Trailhead
• Distance: 18–20 miles
• Elevation Gain: ~4,800 ft
• Duration: 12–14+ hours
This hike is for you if:
✔ You're looking to challenge yourself
✔ You enjoy alpine lakes and mountain scenery
✔ You are comfortable hiking 12–14 hours in a day
✔ You can maintain a steady pace on steep, rocky terrain
Required Gear
• Headlamp
• 2+ liters of water
• Snacks and lunch
• Hiking poles
• Hiking boots or trail shoes
• Snow spikes
• Rain jacket
• Sun hoodie and sun hat
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Backpack
• First aid kit
• Walkie/Talkie (if available)
Lodging
Participants wishing to arrive the night before and stay on the night of may reserve their own hotel accommodations or coordinate with the group to share an Airbnb or hotel @Leavenworth.
This is a strenuous 18–20-mile hike with approximately 4,800 feet of elevation gain. Participants should be prepared for 12–14 hours on the trail and be comfortable hiking long distances on steep and rocky terrain
