Agenda / Information about the session:
1. To show the alternative technologies available to renovate historical (including thatched and pre Victorian homes, those in conservation areas and listed buildings) and more modern homes:
· Heating
· Cooling
· Controlled ventilation
· Generating power
· Saving water
· Save money (including grants for installation)
2. Talk about how to get surveys done to assess what you need to do available grants
3. New building regulations, the planning process, including pitfalls to avoid
4. Expert NSBRC staff also on hand to take questions and guide visitors to the appropriate resource
This tour has been arranged for those in Pewsey Vale who are planning to make their homes more energy efficient. The tour will include talks on how to get started, where to get more information - including advice for those retrofitting older historical and listed buildings.
As well as exploring the newly opened ‘Retrofit Zone', there are many other exhibits of the new technologies to be explored at your leisure. These include insulation, ventilation, heating and water management, building materials and much more.
Discussions / presentation to be held in the Sustainability Theatre.
