This course is designed for individuals who are already certified NRA instructors and are looking to expand their instructor credentials by obtaining their NRA Shotgun Instructor Certification. Participants will build upon their existing instructor knowledge and skills while completing the requirements for the additional firearm discipline certifications.
This intensive 11-hour, one-day course provides the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to organize, promote, and teach the NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course.
Instructor candidates will participate in shotgun-specific teaching demonstrations, practical exercises, and structured evaluations designed to strengthen both their instructional ability and subject-matter expertise.
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will earn the NRA Shotgun Instructor certification and be qualified to conduct the NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course.
Please note: Unlike the NRA Pistol Instructor certification, this certification does not meet Florida requirements for instructors teaching Concealed Weapon or Firearm License classes.
Range fees, ammunition, and firearm rentals are not included.
Space is limited. Reserve your seat early and take the next step toward expanding your NRA instructor credentials.
