This event is an open forge event for smiths of all skill levels. In years past we’ve had a large turnout of first timers, especially youth, so volunteers willing to coach folks through a simple first time project are appreciated. For those desiring to work on larger or more complex projects, the main shop and power hammers will be available. There is no formal demonstration planned. You are encouraged to bring your ideas and projects. Attendees are welcome to bring their own forges, tools and materials. Tail gate sales are welcome. In addition, the UMBA teaching trailer will be on site. For those wishing to incorporate a Halloween flair, feel free to come in costume. Lunch will be pot-luck style.

Directions:
From the North/South: Take I90/39 East/South OR West/North as applicable to exit 177 (WIS 11). Head west (right) on WIS 11. Proceed through two stop lights. About 2 miles past the second light on the right hand side there is a turn off for River Road. Turn left on River Rd. 5th house on the left is the Nowak’s.
From Milwaukee: Take Rt 43 to I90/39 and head West/North.
From Dubuque: Take WIS 11 east.
