Join our Master Gardeners at the Teaching Garden at St. Luke's in downtown Spartanburg for a hands-on volunteer experience focused on gardening, learning, and community engagement.
Volunteers may assist with a variety of seasonal garden tasks, including:
- planting and caring for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and native plants
- building with bamboo
- learning about the Lasagna technique
- maintaining our composting system
- harvesting produce and starting seeds
- weeding and mulching garden beds
- watering and general garden maintenance
- supporting educational and beautification efforts throughout the garden
Whether you're an experienced gardener or just interested in learning more about horticulture, this is a great opportunity to connect with fellow community members, gain practical gardening knowledge, and help maintain a valuable community resource.
No registration is required. Simply bring:
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Closed-toe shoes
- Water to stay hydrated
We'll provide the gardening knowledge, and plenty of garden stories along the way!
For more information, visit our Facebook page or contact Ms. Caroline at [email protected].
We look forward to digging in the dirt with you!
