Jay Smar has toured Scotland twice, performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival twice, recorded music for the Welsh BBC movie, "The Welsh in America" and has been selected by the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour to be on their professional touring roster. Performing on guitar, claw-hammer banjo, fiddle, singing, and flat-footin ' (a form of clog-dancing), Jay serves up an an "acoustic buffet" of original songs written in a variety of styles including ol' time mountain music, bluegrass and gospel. He has released 5 albums. Much of his original work is steeped in the coal mining heritage of the Anthracite Region of Pennsylvania.
Dark River Darling is the alter ego of a former classical vocalist, theater performer, and traditional folk music enthusiast Erin Royer. With one foot in the blues and one foot in the grass, she delivers a sound straight out of the Susquehanna River Valley on mountain style banjo and creekside grown vocals.
Branching off from a life in bands, her debut solo album “Everywhere But Here” is a soulful call from a sunken place that keeps a heavy hold on roots music and intertwines it with blues, folk, indie rock, and country. Dark River Darling tells true and tall tales of love, loss, lust, and life on the road with a sprinkle of existential crises and some loving shout outs to Mamas and dogs.
Drea Matters was born into a musically rich family, and first began writing music at age 9, on piano and later guitar. At age 10 she picked up a pair of sticks and began keeping the beat on a drum kit that ignited a passion for percussion through High School (concert and jazz ensembles and marching band) and a 10-year tenure in heer first original Rock band, Adamo Drive. She brings the same depth and intensity to her songwriting— stylistically haunting with elements of Garage and Psychedelic.
Drea currently enjoys performing in a Lebanon County-based musical duo with guitarist, Josh Colon. Together, they showcase a seemingly endless selection of hits, rock staples and special audience requests. She is planning her first release for 2026.
Matt Miskie - has been on the road sharing stories and songs for the better part of 45 years. A dedicated performer and singer/songwriter - his repertoire features songs of home and history; family, adventure, love and life. He currently performs throughout Pennsylvania. He has recorded 5 albums; Matt is the organizer of the Songwriters Round in cooperation with The Allen Theatre. He also currently hosts the First Thursday Open Mic at The Timeless Cafe in Lebanon PA.
