The Battles of Vaught’s Hill and Snow Hill by Kevin McCray. He will discuss his book entitled Without Bugle or Drum. This is the story of two skirmishes that occurred along the meadows and ridges east of Murfreesboro in the spring of 1863. The talk will showcase how cavalry was used, not only for reconnaissance, but also tactically during the war in the West.
