We are looking forward to this weeks meeting. This month we will be creating our own metal decorations. You will be able to create cards, hanging ornaments or garlands. There’s lots of inspiration online if you want to get ideas. We will have a range of printed templates but you might want to bring your own if you have a specific project in mind.
We will have a lot of the materials and templates needed however you will need to bring:
- Disposable metal tins (roasting/pie/ready meals/drinks cans/tomato pure tubes etc
- Small scissors (we have large scissors, but you might want small ones for more intricate details.
- A pencil or other tools for embossing (we will have a selection of proper tools to share out)
Post Box Topper – Please bring along all of your makes with you! I’ll be completing the topper in time for the launch on the 28th November. Also if you have any end of ball wool in shades of green that you don’t mind passing on please bring them too. I might need to create some extra pompoms for filling out the wreath.
Bake Off – We'll also be hosting our annual Bake Off competition! This year we are looking for your favorite sweet/savory bakes. Whether it’s a family recipe or perfectly piped cupcakes, bring along your back to the gingham alter! There will be prizes and of course a trophy!
Our popular re-use table is back too! It’s completely free to take part. Bring and take as much as you want. The only stipulation is that you take home anything you bought with you (if it’s still there at the end)
Visitors are always welcome for a £5 visitors fee. You can come along three times before deciding if you’d like to sign up as a member or not. Anyone wanting to sign up as a member on the night please speak to Alicia.
