Please join us for the November Luncheon in Strahan Hall at Muscatine Community College. The meal, catered by Boonie's On the Avenue, will be Broccoli Cheese Soup and Split Pea with Ham Soup in a Bread Bowl (GF bread bowls supplied by Life Breads Gluten-Free Bakery), Chicken Breast Salad, Pumpkin Dessert, and Water. Gluten-free options available, please note on your RSVP.
For the November Luncheon, MNFC will be supporting the iLLUMINATE, a fundraiser for Crossroads and Senior Resources. Please consider giving a monetary donation to iLLUMINATE which is more than a festive light experience, it is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of seniors and people with disabilities in Muscatine and Tipton. Crossroads serves over 600 individuals across eight service lines to cultivate choice and inclusion for seniors and people with disabilities. By donating to iLLUMINATE, you become an advocate for seniors and people with disabilities. Thank you.
At $15.00 per person which may be paid by cash or a check made out to "Newcomers", we offer an AMAZING value for great food, great company, and great entertainment. THIS LOW PRICE IS ONLY ACHIEVABLE WITH OUR VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE MEMBERSHIP YEAR!! If you have not already done so, please be prepared to pay our annual dues of $20.00 for the 2024-25 membership year.
Reservations: In order to attend, please RSVP Yes by 5:00pm on Friday, November 15th.
Childcare: Provided for $5.00 per child, please add a comment with the RSVP stating your child's name and age. Please drop your children off at Muscatine Church of Christ, 3603 North Mulberry Avenue, between 11-11:30am. Please pack a lunch for each child. PLEASE NOTE: Infants up to six months of age are welcome to accompany their mothers to the luncheon site.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please contact Nancy Nainis by email ([email protected]) or text (815-975-4239) BEFORE 8:00am on Monday, November 18th. Any cancellations after 8:00am will need to pay for the cost of the meal. Someone may bring your payment and pick up your meal if you are unable to attend.
Final RSVP by Friday, November 15th. **If you are needing to add your RSVP after 5:00pm on Friday afternoon you need to text Nancy, one of the 1st Vice Presidents, to tell her in person. We need to guarantee food for you and if you are bringing a friend, you must put her name down on Evite.
**Muscatine Newcomers & Friends Club holds a monthly social luncheon. It is held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through May.
