- Bright City: Opening Reception. Armor and Adornment: Muscogee Fashion Rooted in Identity is presented for Bright City in partnership with Dashboard and NewTown Macon, with support from Macon Magazine as a contributor for Macon Fashion Week. Join us at Wesleyan Leadership Lab from 5:30 pm - 7 pm for the opening reception of the 7th series installment in Bright City. Enjoy light refreshments, music and an artist talk at 6 pm. After, we will gather at the Fashion Show in the Poplar Street Median as part of Macon Fashion Week. Learn more by visiting the Bright City Facebook Event by NewTown Macon.

Step into downtown Macon's most luxe living experience—before anyone else! NewTown Macon invites you to Neel's Lofts for an exclusive Hard Hat Happy Hour on Friday, November 7, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. - Macon Fashion Week: Macon Fashion Week is a weeklong celebration of fashion, creativity, and community. Each day centers on a different theme, featuring daytime and evening meetups, curated programs, and runway shows. On First Friday, you can enjoy the Put It On: Local & Indigenous Designer Showcase. After attending the opening reception for Bright City, head to the Poplar Street Median at 7 pm for the Fashion Show!
ART GALLERY SPECIAL EXHIBITS
- Macon Arts Alliance (486 1st Street), 4-7 pm
Macon Arts Alliance is happy to present their November exhibit, “Inheritance of the Unstable Self”, with works by Jason John of the University of North Florida. “Inheritance of the Unstable Self” explores the concepts of instability of identity and the relationship between figure and surroundings.
- The 567 Center for Renewal (456 1st St), 5-8 pm
Join us for the opening reception of "Favorite Things," an exhibit of artwork for $100 & under, including holiday ornaments, ceramics, fabric art, small paintings and more. See the new exhibit, meet the artists, and enjoy refreshments.
- McEachern Art Center (332 2nd St), 4-8 pm
The McEachern gallery will be open to see their current exhibit Severe Optimism, featuring artwork by Dotan Appelbaum.
- Wesleyan College Leadership Lab (522 Cherry St), 5:30-7 pm

- The Capitol Theatre(8 pm) Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy
This exclusive speakeasy will transport you to a bygone era as you sip on expertly crafted cocktails inspired by four of Poe's most beloved stories.
- The Rainbow Fish at The Grand Opera House, (7 pm)
Everybody loves the international bestseller and award-winning book, The Rainbow Fish, with its wonderful message of friendship and belonging. This is a short (~45 minutes to 1 hour) play geared for children and their families, in partnership with Theatre Macon.
-Grant's Lounge: Ricky Chilton with openers Luke Brown & The Jubilee art 9 pm.
- Theatre Macon (8 pm): Opening night for Our Country’s Good: a tribute to the transformative power of theatre!
- The Hummingbird (9:30 pm): Celebrate First Friday with with Athens pop punk band Phantom Dan and Milledgeville Emo band Blue! Music
-JBA joins the First Friday festivities each month with its signature themed events featuring live entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere.
- Rose Room will have a DJ mixing vinyls every First Friday so you can enjoy a craft cocktail with great music.
