We have an update regarding the speaker for our November meeting. Unfortunately, Juli Berwald has had to reschedule (we’re hopeful to welcome her in 2026!). In her place, we’re excited to announce that Chantal Piët will be joining us! Chantal is the co-founder of Caribbean Reef Guardians and Stroop Club. Below is a brief overview of Chantal’s impactful work.
"As Co-Founder of Stroop Club, I took the humble Dutch stroopwafel global — reimagined with a vegan, organic, and sustainable twist. From local markets to international shelves, we’re proving that doing good can also taste great.
But my mission doesn’t stop at snacks. I’m also the CO-Founder of Caribbean Reef Guardians, a nonprofit restoring coral reefs across the Bay Islands and Honduran coast. Our work combines science, community engagement, and playful participation to protect what matters most — our oceans. I also serve on the board of Tela Coral, our research-driven sister organization focused on coral restoration, science and storytelling education."
We’ll gather starting at 6:30 PM so you have time to order food, drinks, and mingle with fellow divers. The meeting will officially begin at 7:15 PM with announcements, followed by the presentation from our guest speaker. We look forward to seeing you in person! If you can’t attend, don’t worry—you can still participate via Teams and be part of the action.
