November Chapter Chasers Book Club: The Fairy Tale Fixers

Join the Chapter Chasers for our next book adventure! On the third Sunday of each month, we invite kids ages 6-8 to chat about our hidden gem early chapter book, have some fun reading aloud, then get creative with a related activity!

Join us this month in discussing The Fairy Tale Fixers by Deborah Underwood.

This is the first in a new graphic novel duet for newly independent readers, following the adventures of a rat, Fairy, and his sidekick, Mouse, who go into fairy tales to set things right (with unexpected results). With tons of jokes and witty banter, and themes of creative thinking and teamwork woven through, this story will appeal to avid readers and reluctant readers alike.

Chapter Chasers Book Club is made for emerging readers (6-8) chasing the thrill of reading their first chapter books! We encourage both independent reading and family read-alouds for Chapter Chasers. The goal of this book club is to get kids excited about books and reading, to encourage their self-identity as readers, and to foster community and social learning through a love of books!

Parents are welcome to stay on the Junior side and participate or browse the adult side. Parents of children 12 and younger must remain on-site.

About the Book
