Calling all jewelry makers, wire wrappers, and gemstone lovers! CAB DAY is back at Cobble Creek Mining Co. on Saturday, November 7th!
New to Cobble Creek? Welcome! We’re a little different from your everyday rock shop. Instead of regular weekly hours, we typically open one weekend a month for our Open House. November 7th is a special additional opening, with the day dedicated to cabochons!
For our third Cab Day, we’re putting away some of our mineral and fossil flats to make room for ALL of our cabochon trays. With over 100 different types of cabochons in stock, this is your chance to easily browse, compare, and handpick your favorites all in one place!
Make sure to like and follow Cobble Creek Mining Company at @cobblecreekmining! Starting November 2nd, we’ll be posting sneak peeks of the new cabochons we’ll have available, leading up to Cab Day.
• What is a cabochon? A cabochon, or “cab,” is a stone shaped and polished with a smooth surface instead of facets, typically with a domed top and flat back. They’re popular for wire wrapping, pendants, rings, and other jewelry, but you don’t have to be a jewelry maker to enjoy collecting their unique colors and patterns!
