November '24 Writing retreat for allied health professionals

This online event is held over two and a quarter days commencing at 3pm GMT on Wednesday 17th April and ending at 5pm on Friday 19th April 2024.

Writing and writing for publication is a creative endeavour that helps the allied health professions progress and professional colleagues learn new skills and techniques which contribute to the enrichment of health and wellbeing of the people we work with. But how do we find the time to write?

Professional and domestic schedules can easily mean that our time for writing is too often shunted into the sidings.

Write Away can help by providing allied health professionals with a safe, inclusive space to focus on writing and increasing their writing productivity for all.

Why a writing retreat?

Facilitated by Professor Katrina Bannigan of Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK this writing retreat follows a well respected process of facilitation whereby attendees will have the opportunity to focus on:

• increasing writing productivity by developing strategies to enable you to use your time more effectively
• growing writing confidence - the more you write the more confidence you will have in our ability to write
• developing accountability that is fostered by writing in a social space through that sense of being in it together
• incorporating self-care into your writing life to maintain good health and well being.

Recent attendees have told us that "writing in a safe, supportive and facilitated space" was such a bonus and "encouraged me to see and value what I can achieve".
