DATE CHANGE! To allow our Food Challenge teams another week for practice before the county contest, the date for our monthly meeting has been moved to November 17, 2024. We'll be making fleece tie blankets to donate. BYOF - Bring Your Own Fleece. (If you forget or can't find any, we'll have some available and/or you can work in pairs.) And fabric scissors, if you have some!
I was reading that a good size for the fleece tie blanket is 2 yards. And you’ll need two pieces that are 2 yards each in coordinating patterns. I’ve also had people tell me smaller ones are also sometimes preferred. Walmart sometimes has kits they sell with the fleece already bundled for the blankets. Another parent
shared that they sell the rolls of no-pill fleece about the right size for the blankets. I hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
We will also have a Thanksgiving craft project for the meeting, too!
We'll also start discussing our December meal plan for the meal we’ll prepare for the Christmas for Children volunteers.
