Kim Hillyer is a USPC Graduate “A” and was involved with teaching and riding horses in college and after college. She continued to teach and compete successfully in many equestrian disciplines: Dressage, Eventing, Hunt Seat, Western Dressage, and Western Stock Seat Equitation.
For the next 22 years up to 2018, her focus was Dressage and Western Dressage. She trained and competed several horses, bringing Bell the Cat to win the North American Western Dressage Association National Championship twice. Both Bell the Cat and another horse earned multiple year end championships with her local GMO organization, the International Equestrian Organization.
Since discovering Working Equitation (WE) in 2018, Kim Hillyer has won multiple Regional and Eastern Zone Championships. She was also Working Equitation East series Champion multiple years, the OSEWE show series Reserve Champion, the NOVAWE show series Champion at level 3, and won the highest score of the year award for Dressage and EOH. She is currently competing her horse, Bell the Cat, at Level 4. She is also bringing along a young horse for WE.
Since 2019, she has been involved with Working Equitation organizations, was a Founding Member of NOVAWE, served as the Region 6 Director for USAWE, was the Chair of the USAWE Competitions Committee, and was on the USAWE Ethics Committee. Currently, she still serves as a committee member on the Competitions Committee.
Kim is passionate about WE and promotes the sport in the central PA area. She offers lessons during the warmer/drier months at her farm in Dover, PA.
Clinic opens for registration on February 13, 2025.
Clinic Fee:
$215 - Members of NOVAWE
$225 - Non-members of NOVAWE
Clinic Fee includes:
a. 1.5 hour sessions- small group instruction on obstacles (Day 1)
b. Course walk with instruction with tips and strategies (Day 1)
c. Private 30 minute EOH Fix-A-Test -Ride test then receive instruction (Day 2)
d. Office Fee ($20)
e. Two lunches
Pizza on Saturday night is courtesy of NOVAWE.
Stabling is available or you can trailer in each day.
