Explore the incredible landscapes, flora, fauna and streetscapes or North East Tasmania before and after days in the studio with Lyn Diefenbach learning the art of pastel. We have a huge light filled studio complete with easels and boards ready for your art holiday. In addition to studio time, each day brings a new experience…the incredible colours of the Little Blue Lake and the Bay of Fires coastline, the ancient forests and Tasmanian's largest waterfall, streetscapes untouched by time and more.
Deep in the hills of remote North East Tasmania lies a tiny farming community with a 100 year old hotel that is now Artable's Australian retreat base. We are combining daily tours with loads of studio time and the incredible Lyn Diefenbach. Bring your sketch book for a ‘side of journaling’ around your days with Lyn working on florals, portraits or landscapes. Whatever works best for you, this trip offers something for everyone.
The hotel has been lovingly restored and curated by Artable founder Gillian who has brought together a decade of retreat experience to offer artists their own non-sharing rooms at no extra charge, a huge light filled art studio, a comfortable group lounge complete with Chesterfields and fireplace, daily excursions to visit carefully selected locations to capture the very best natural history paintings. Paired with one of Australia's most renowned pastel artists Lyn Diefenbach, this retreat is not to be missed - join us for an experience like no other.
