The most radical choice we can make in our (R)evolution is in our pause,
in our breath and choice to connect with self.
About this Event

Hosted by "Each on Teach one" @dawngrantartistry. This event is for folks who are new to mindfulness/meditation or wanting to return to your practice. Nourish The Artist Within is a soulful invitation to slow down, reconnect, and honor the creative spirit that resides within you. This practice is about creating intentional space for yourself—space to pause, breathe, and tune into your inner landscape. It encourages curiosity and grants permission to explore your creative energy through mindfulness, self-compassion, and deep listening.

Through these practices, you may naturally encounter the full spectrum of human emotion—the joy, the sadness, the excitement, and even the tension that arise when we give ourselves permission to be fully present. This emotional release and pause create a fertile ground for self-awareness, allowing you to reconnect with your inner needs, desires, and creative impulses.

Nourish The Artist Within is a way to foster the healing power of creativity, offering an opportunity to listen to your body and mind and return to self.

It’s not just about creating external works of art; it's about honoring the art of being, of existing in your truest form. Through this process, you give yourself permission to embrace your whole self—your vulnerabilities, your passions, and your dreams—so that you can move forward with clarity and purpose.

Nourish The Artist Within is a gentle reminder that in nurturing your creative essence, you also nourish the very core of who you are.

About the facilitator + Contact info:

Clarissa Vasquez is a deeply committed and evolving artist whose work intersects mindfulness, trauma and migration, and human connection. Rooted in her Latinx/ mixed race heritage and informed by her personal experiences, she brings a unique perspective to the art world. Clarissa's art is not only about creating visually compelling pieces but also about crafting spaces where individuals can explore their own journeys of self-awareness, healing, and growth. Her practices include a deep committment to decolonoization and reseeding of self.

Her diverse studies, including trauma-and migration, human rights /equity, reiki, mindfulness-based stress reduction, inform her approach to both art-making and community engagement. Whether through visual art, film, or collaborative community events, she fosters environments that allow people to feel seen, heard, and validated in their own experiences. For Clarissa, art is a living, breathing practice—a space for vulnerability, truth, and transformation.

Clarissa's work is driven by a belief in the power of art to heal, not only the artist but also the audience.

It is through self-exploration and cultivating one's own inner ecosystem that she believes true creative energy flows, enabling individuals to share their gifts with the world.

Her commitment to ongoing learning and personal growth reflects her dedication to creating art that is not just a reflection of the world but a force for positive change. Through her work, Clarissa invites others to join her in this process of exploration, healing, and transformation, creating a space for authenticity and collective growth.

Our individual and collective liberation is without end.<3
