Not Your Grandmother’s Embroidery Class

I love September, October, November, and December. I love the Fall weather, the decorations (!!!), and especially the Fall EVENTS. And speaking of events, there is one event that you won’t want to miss:
THE MAKER’S RETREAT
OCTOBER 9-11 at THE COLLONADE IN Ringgold, GA
The best crafters, artists, sewists, and makers of all types will be gathering in one place for a weekend of unforgettable inspiration, fantastic classes, shopping, and FUN!!
Yours truly will be there, teaching Not Your Grandmother’s Embroidery Class.
What does “Not Your Grandmother’s” mean? It means stunningly beautiful handmade heirloom projects. It means exciting designs with fresh, relevant details. It means fantastic colors and textures.
In short, it means NOT boring. It means NOT dull. It means NOT complicated.
I fell in love with sewing when I was seven years old. I got my first sewing machine and immediately sewed my finger to it- accidentally. I broke a lot of needles, made a lot of mistakes, and produced many things that could not be identified (is this a coaster or what?) But, none of that made me love sewing any less. And now, sewing gives me beautiful things like friendship, community, and being a part of something greater than myself. My skills are honed, my technique is refined, but when I sit down to sew, I am still just a little seven-year-old girl who believes in the magic of creating something.
I would love to introduce- or reintroduce- you to the timeless magic of creativity through sewing, in Not Your Grandmother’s Embroidery Class. All materials are included, and you get THREE complete projects- one to do in class and two to complete at home. Or in the woods. Or at the lake. Or at the library. Or at your grandmother’s house. Embroidery is for anytime, anyplace. I know you’re going love it, and I will remain available long after the class if you need support as you complete your projects.
You are cordially invited to join the loving community of sewists and makers at The Maker’s Retreat in October.
Preregistration is at:
