Four pairs of actors present a set of comic and decidedly absurd one-act plays.
NF Simpson might be described as the British Magritte of absurdist theatre--or not--but in Interviewing NF Simpson, he's tested by a rather testy interviewer.
In two new pieces by David Wembridge, The Walrus. The Carpenter and Dum. Dee, Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass characters are recast in new settings.
In Michael Frayn's The Crimson Hotel, two lovers flee to an imaginary hotel in the desert to conduct an affair... and imagine the worst. The Crimson Hotel won the 2008 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
