Nostalgia Show Y2K
About this Event
THE NOSTALGIA SHOW: Y2K EDITION
A Fundraiser for Pocket Con 2026 — Celebrating 15 Years!
Remember when you came home from school, grabbed a snack, turned on Toonami, and disappeared into your favorite video game for the rest of the day? 😭
We’re taking it BACK to the late ’90s and early 2000s for The Nostalgia Show: Y2K Edition! This is a celebration of the vibes, colors, sounds, fashion, art, games, and visual culture of the era. Think Memphis-style design, wild patterns, funky typography, Y2K fashion, Saturday morning cartoons, early internet culture, CDs, skate culture, and everything that made growing up around the turn of the millennium so special.
ARTISTS: We’ll be showcasing original artwork inspired by the Y2K era and its aesthetic. This is less about drawing specific characters and more about capturing the FEELING of the era through your own creative style.

WHY WE'RE DOING THIS
The Nostalgia Show is a fundraiser for Pocket Con 2026, which marks the 15th anniversary of Chicago's free youth-focused comics convention. Produced by Stomping Grounds Literary Arts Initiative, Pocket Con celebrates artists, creators, stories, and characters of color while creating a space for young people, families, artists, and comic fans to come together.
Every ticket helps us keep Pocket Con FREE for artists, vendors, and attendees.
