Nostalgia: A Solo Show by Myah Freeman

Join me for the opening of my very first solo show as I present to you a body of work exploring the importance of family anchors, honoring loved ones, strength, and restoration inspired by a series of nostalgic family photos.
I’ve always found pleasure in taking trips down memory lane: going through family photo albums, learning more about my elders and loved ones; an interest rooted in the passing of my father and wondering what life was like, and would have been like, with him physically present. Through my years of exploration and maturation, I’ve come to be very passionate about understanding generational impact, the restoration of strong black families, and honoring those who came before us.
