*Informed*
Housing is one of the biggest concerns facing seniors in our communities today. At our breakfast, we'll hear from local experts who are working on this issue right here in Lincoln County. We'll learn about needs, opportunities, and what we can do.
Addie Costello, researcher and journalist, will share insights on senior issues and the challenges facing small-town and rural seniors in Wisconsin.
Jessica Mudgett from the Merrill Housing Authority will talk about affordable housing resources and opportunities available to seniors in our community.
And special guests from the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation and the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Central WI (ADRC).
Together they'll help us understand the landscape and what we can do to ensure every senior has a safe, affordable place to call home.
*Inspired*
When it comes to aging and aging well, many of us have the kind of wisdom that can only come with experience. We hope you'll bring your thoughts along with you as we have good, honest, community conversations about aging with dignity, purpose, and connection. What does it mean to grow older in Lincoln County? How do we stay engaged and empowered in this season of our lives?
*Involved*
Our breakfast will also include some deep listening activities through which we will share in small groups the issues that matter to us the most. Maybe it's housing. Maybe food and hunger. Or loneliness. Or transportation. Or healthcare access. These conversations will help us understand where to focus our collective power—while also giving us all a chance to connect with neighbors who care about so many of the same things.

This breakfast is part of the Senior Empowerment Project—a growing statewide movement of rural and small-town Wisconsin seniors who share a vision of a Wisconsin where:
Every senior has a home
Every senior has access to high-quality, affordable, local care
Seniors are integrated into community life, not isolated
Care workers are treated with dignity and paid fairly
There are over one million seniors in Wisconsin. And these kinds of conversations are being had all over the state. What is said here will help us shape and work together toward the kind of future and policies we actually want and need for ourselves and our communities.
