The Northwoods Improvisers perform their annual show at Entropy. The group has performed with Faruq Z. Bey, Dennis Gonzalez, Bill Smith, Eugene Chadbourne and Eddie Gale. The Northwoods Improvisers are the confluence of bop, free jazz, African, Arab and Native American music. They formed in the 1970s and has become an institution in Michigan celebrating 49 years of music under this moniker. On this night, they perform two sets of music. They will be playing in support of a new double CD on the Entropy Stereo label. The show will also feature Tony Holland of Griot Galaxy on saxophones.There will be one-of-a-kind merch, so bring extra cash. Please note the earlier start time.
