Western Theological Seminary will host a concert by the Northwestern College A Cappella Choir on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 PM. The concert is free and open to the public. Tour repertoire will feature Morten Lauridsen’s “O Magnum Mysterium,” Michael Barrett’s “Indodana” and “Absalom, My Son,” Erik Jones’ “Tell My Ma,” and Sarah Hopkins’ “Past Life Melodies.” The choir will also perform the Taiwanese piece “The Apple of Daddy’s Eye” for choir, piano, and alto saxophone.
The 46-member ensemble is directed by Dr. Thomas Holm, professor of music at Northwestern College, and accompanied by Janelle Phinney. The choir has toured extensively throughout the United States and internationally.
