About this Event
Northside Roundtable - Supporting Addicts and Their Families
Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2025
Time: 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Location: Mercy Road Church - Northeast
Why Come?
These roundtables were started in 2024 to bridge the gap, facilitate communication, and establish referral networks between ministry leaders, mental health professionals, and community leaders to address the pressing needs of our communities and congregations.
On January 16th, our first facilitated discussion of 2025 will help professionals and ministry leaders establish healthy systems for supporting addicts within our communities while also discussing concrete steps that can be taken to affirm and energize family members who are holding the line and providing the accountability and support to those they love.
Doors will open around 8:45 am for those who would like to connect and network over a continental breakfast.
Roundtable Objectives:
- Build Community: Foster partnerships between ministry leaders and mental health counselors to create a holistic support network for those in need.
- Understand Addiction: Explore the impacts of addiction on individuals and their support networks.
- Share Experiences: Engage in open dialogue about personal experiences and professional practices in supporting those struggling and those who are attempting to hold their loved ones accountable.
- Identify Resources: Learn about tools, resources, and strategies that can be utilized throughout our surrounding communities.
