Terrain: Paved roads + bike paths; mostly flat with some rolling hills

Itinerary Overview
📍 17 Sep – Arrival in Hokkaido
Arrive at New Chitose Airport (CTS)
Hotel check-in & preparation
Evening welcome dinner & briefing
🚴 18 Sep – Sapporo → Takikawa (125 km)
Flag-off at Sapporo JR Station
Ride along the Toyohira River towards Ishikari
Enjoy a scenic bike path out of the city into the countryside
🚴 19 Sep – Takikawa → Asahikawa (70 km)
Continue along the Ishikari River Bike Path
Arrive in Asahikawa, Hokkaido’s 2nd largest city
End of Salmon Ride
🚴 20 Sep – Asahikawa → Nayoro (92 km)
Flag-off from Asahikawa JR Station
Ride through beautiful countryside towards Nayoro
🚴 21 Sep – Nayoro → Nakagawa (90 km)
Follow the Teshio River, where you might spot salmon swimming upstream
🚴 22 Sep – Nakagawa → Cape Soya (133 km)
The grand finale as we reach Soya Misaki (Cape Soya), Japan’s northernmost point

Transfer to Wakkanai for a celebration dinner
