Northern Royals: With their unique combination of small-town roots and big city sound, Winnipeg alt-rockers NORTHERN ROYALS have come to conquer your radio, your streaming service, and your local stage.
Drawing from influences that range from modern rock, post-grunge, to classic rock, the band’s in-your-face rock n’ roll assault is as much at home on mainstream rock radio as it is with the more discerning campus/community FM crowd.
After making the rounds of the Manitoba club scene and festival circuit, sharing the stage with the iconic likes of Monster Truck, Big Wreck, Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace, Jet Set Satellite, Palaye Royale, The Lazy's, BRKN LOVE, Royal Tusk and more, Northern Royals are ready to take things to the next level in 2025 and beyond.
With their new explosive and energetic EP HELLO CHAOS out now, the band has its sights set on mainstream success. Winnipeg has a proud, storied history of genre-defining rock artists, and Northern Royals have joined the pantheon.
Penny-Sleeve:
Penny-Sleeve is a new, high-energy rock trio from Winnipeg, Manitoba that channels the raw power of hard rock and the rebellious edge of punk. Influenced by bands like Green Day, Silverchair, and Social Distortion, they deliver a sound that's loud, fast, and full of attitude. Tayler Morgan leads the charge with gritty vocals and scorching guitar, while Evan Dracass runs the thundering bass lines, and Cyrus Walker brings the rhythm to life with explosive drumming. Together, they create a sound that’s as bold and electrifying as their live performances.
The Soundoff:
Punk rock, pop punk, hard rock? It’s a challenge to put them into a single genre, but if they had to, they’d say they’re a 4-piece alternative punk band. Of sorts. They’ve set out to combine a mixture modern and classic influences that creates a unique sound, but is still familiar.
Starting back in 2022, playing shows in the local Winnipeg scene, they’ve always had one goal - Play hard, play heavy, and play loud. With 3 singles released so far in 2025 and plenty of shows booked, The Soundoff have big plans for the rest of this year and beyond.
